Where to celebrate 4th July in Vegas?

July 2, 2015 2:28 pm by

If you’re lucky enough to be spending 4th July in Vegas then you’ll be wanting to know what’s on and where to be to celebrate. From pool parties, to In Vegas, the bigger the better is generally the motto so you can expect everything to be big, bold and beautiful.

Here are some suggestions for where and how to celebrate when you’re in Vegas this weekend:

Pool parties

Typically, the 4th July can expect hot mid-summer temperatures, so watch those thermostats soar. Many people start the celebrations early and will head down to one of the iconic Vegas Pool Parties to cool down and start the festivities. An iconic Vegas experience, you’ll want to make sure you have enough stamina – these parties are (in)famous for being loud and going on late. The best-dressed flock to these adult-only pool parties and top DJs will have you raving in the waves from morning until night.

If you’re in Vegas with the kids, why not take them to a child-friendly water park to celebrate instead. Cowabunga Bay Water Park is a great alternative and you can enjoy free entry to their ‘Summer Nights’ opening between 4pm-7pm, which means you can make it back into town to catch the fireworks later that night.

Fireworks

Come evening, there’s no other way to celebrate than with a huge firework display. Hats off to Vegas, there’s no competition – you’ll be pushed to see better fireworks anywhere else in the world, after seeing these on the 4th July! As Vegas is a sprawling city, your best bet is to pick a place, choose your spot early and stay there as most displays kick off at 9pm.

We recommend you head to the Stratosphere Tower where they will be launching their fireworks from 9pm, illuminating the sky from this iconic monument. If you’re near Caesar’s Palace, the centre strip will light up at 9.15pm coinciding with the launch of their own fireworks display. Mandalay Bay Beach hosts their own fireworks and themed night, hosting performances by 311 and launching their fireworks at 9pm, as does Stations Casino, Boulder City and The City of Henderson.

Vegas Views

If you don’t want to celebrate in the street and are after a more VIP experience, book yourself into a bar to catch the celebrations from up high. Overlooking the Strip and Valley, you can get some great vantage point from up high in the Eiffel Tower restaurant or at the VooDoo Rooftop, for example. If you fancy something a bit more daring beforehand, why not take a thrill-of-your-life ride along the VooDoo Zip Line across the two Rio towers. At 50 storeys high strapped into a harness on a zip line – you certainly will be pushed to experience anything like it on the 4th July!

Wining & Dining

During the 4th July celebrations hotels, casinos and restaurants put on impressive feasts and buffets to feed the masses. You can make the most of some great deals and discounts in celebration of this national holiday. Why not feed the kids BBQ style at Serendipity3 or head to Luxor Casino for some proper American style hot dogs, burgers and cheese fries! All the bars will be serving themed cocktails and drinks at a snip of the price so you can rest assured you’ll get some good deals. You can also make the most of $10 free credit at Planet Hollywood Restaurant by showing your Las Vegas Power Pass, too!
