If you’re looking for unusual activities, Las Vegas is the perfect destination. With so many activities and attractions there’s always something there that can scratch your itch for odd. Things can get pretty out there when in the middle of the desert, so if you want an unusual thing to do, you’ve come to the right place.

Blue Man Group

So maybe your definition of “unusual” is a bit tamer than what other people visiting in Las Vegas have. The Blue Man Group is out there, and it is different from the other shows on the strip, but the Blue Man Group are a feast for the eyes – and fun for all ages. So whether you have children or you’re on a weekend away with friends, here’s one unusual show you won’t mind telling people about when you get back home.

Mat Franco

Are you a fan of stranger than fiction magic? Then head out to Mat Franco for his nightly show. His incredible illusions are a sensory feat and it’s another show that is fun for all ages. It’s also one of the lesser expensive shows on the strip. Some of the big time performer tickets can really get up there in price (especially if you want a good seat), so this is a great way to take in a truly “Vegas” show without breaking the bank.

Erotic Heritage Museum

The Erotic Heritage Museum showcases the wilder side of Vegas. So, if you’re looking for something to do that you can only tell your closest friends about, this place is perfect for you. This is more than just a rundown on the history of Playboy (although you will find plenty of historical topics). It really dives deep into where the erotic industry came from and how it became the what it is today. You may be surprised as to just how interesting (and entertaining) this particular museum is. And it’s all done in a relatively tasteful way.

Monster Mini Golf

So, you might not be able to take the kids into the Erotic Heritage Museum. But you can take them for a round of Monster Mini Golf. At Monster Mini Golf, there are a number of different courses to choose from. If you’re a fan of KISS, there is a KISS themed mini golf course. Or if you want a few unusual photo opportunities, the monster or sci-fi courses are the ones for you. Some of these courses can get pretty trippy, so pack your brave face! And best of all, this activity is extremely affordable. So whether you want to come out with your date or the entire family, this unique take on mini golf is sure to be a crowd favorite.

There are all kinds of art exhibits around Las Vegas. These exhibits range from traditional to wacky, and everywhere else in between. But on the top floor of Akhob, a luxury handbag shop, you’ll find the James Turrell installation. Here you will walk through total color immersion. Walk through this world of color quietly and note your physical reactions to a shift in color. You may begin to breathe harder or you’ll feel calmer, according to color.
